Spring barley and wheatwere sowed before June and are currently growing; other cereals also enteredinto the vegetative stage. During the reporting period, crop condition wasgenerally mixed.
Among the CropWatchagroclimatic indicators, RAIN and RADPAR were slightly above the pastthirteen-year average (5% and 1% respectively), while TEMP was average. Thecrop condition development graph indicates a gradual drop below the five-yearaverage from late May to July. Considering the NDVI profiles and spatial NDVI patterns, the areas that are below average after May include the oblasts ofSevero-kazachstanskaya, Akmolinskaya, Kustanayskaya, Pavlodarskaya, and Vostochno-kazachstanskayain the east; and Jambylslkaya and Almatinskaya in the south. The poor cropcondition in these areas resulted from uneven rainfall distribution in time andspace. Thanks to national average rainfall above the past thirteen-year averagein other areas, the center north and north-west of the country enjoy good cropcondition.
