The Philippines mostly enjoy a very long humidseason with ample moisture supply, interrupted locally by a short dry seasonaround the beginning of the year. As illustrated by below average indices forair temperature and PAR, accompanied by above-average rainfall, crops plantedin November (for harvesting around April) may suffer from the unfavorableweather conditions for the season. NDVI profiles indicate that throughout theseason, especially from February to April, the country underwent unfavorableconditions comparable with those of previous years. According to the recentcrop condition map, most of the country enjoys average crop conditions.Additional details about the Philippines are provided in section 5.1 ondisasters.
