During this monitoring period, the northeast region of China experienced freezing conditions that prevented crop growth. CropWatch Agroclimatic Indicators (CWAIs) indicate a 35% increase in overall precipitation, which was significantly above the 15-year average in early-November, late-November, and mid-December. The photosynthetically active radiation was at an average level, and the temperature increased by approximately 0.7°C above the 15YA.
The above-average precipitation during the current monitoring season is expected to have a positive impact on spring sowing. Adequate soil moisture, combined with normal temperature and radiation, will benefit the emergence and early growth of crops in the spring.
