The reporting period covers the growing stage of winter cereals andthe sowing stage of coarse grains, including maize. Crop condition wasgenerally favorable. The national average VCIx was 0.70. Among the CropWatchagroclimatic indicators, RAIN was above average (+21%), TEMP was below averageby -1.2°C, and RADPAR was normal. The combination of factors resulted in a highBIOMSS (+11%) compared to the five-year average. As shown by the crop conditiondevelopment graph, NDVI was below average from late January to April, andconditions were generally more favorable in the east than in the west (thecotton area). NDVI was below average in 20% of croplands, mainly in parts ofQunghirot, Chimbay, and Nuhus provinces and part of Bukhoro, Kagan, and Nawoiyprovinces. NDVI was also below average in parts of three wheat growingprovinces in the east: Quqon, Andijon, and Namangan, but normal or above inother regions. Altogether, winter wheat condition in the country was fair.
