The crops in the Philippines generally showed average condition between August and October.Harvesting of the main season paddy crop is currently underway, while season able showers are conducive to the planting of the secondary season crop.As illustrated by above average indices for temperature and rainfall, crops planted from October enjoyed favorable initial growing conditions. NDVI profiles indicate that throughout the season, especially in October, the country under went mixed conditions roughly comparable with the recent five-year average level. According to the NDVI clusters, somewhat contrasted crop conditions characterized north and south in August, with favorable conditions in Luzon and poor conditions in Mindanao.
