Spring wheat was at flowering to ripening stage.Overall, crop condition was average.

Early rice was at heading to ripening period while single-season rice was at tillering period. Affected by heavy rainfall, below-average early rice situation widely occurred in south part of the Lower Yangtze region and Southern China. Altogether, single-season crop condition was below average. Because of low radiation, poor crop condition appeared in western Liaoning province.

Spring maize was at seven-leaf to jointing period in northern China whereas at silking to ripening stage in southern China. Summer maize was at three-leaf to seven-leaf period. Poor spring maize condition occurred in northeast China and eastern Inner Mongolia province due to drought. Because of low radiation, crop condition in Sichuan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces of southeast China was below average. Summer maize situation in Huanghuaihai and Loess region was favorable, which was due to propera go-climatic condition.

Soybean was at seedling to three-leaf stage.Altogether, crop condition was average.

Surrounding regions

Overall, crops condition were slightly below average in areas adjacent to China. Affected by drought, unfavorable crops situation appeared in several countries of northern Mainland Southeast Asia,such as Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. Crops condition in other countries close to China were average.
