During the monitoring period from Feb 2nd to 17th, 2021, the winter wheat in northwest China and North China was mostly in overwintering stage, while it was in regreening stage in Huanghuai. In the meanwhile, the crop was mostly in rising stage in Jianghuai and Jianghan, while it was in jointing stage in eastern Sichuan and central Guizhou. Moreover, the crop entered the flowering stage in Yunnan.

In terms of agrometeorology, the average temperature in most parts of China during the monitoring period is 2-4 ℃ higher than that in the same period, while the average temperature in Henan, Anhui and Hubei is about 5 ℃ higher. Compared with the same period, the radiation was basically unchanged or slightly increased, but the precipitation was generally lower than the average of the same period. The temperature continued to be high in February, and the regreening period of summer crop in Huanghuai was advanced. However, low rainfall in some areas resulted in crop growth significantly below the average level in northwestern Shandong, southern Hebei and eastern Jiangsu. On the contrary, the growth of the crop in southern and Eastern Henan, Northern Anhui, central Hubei and Chongqing was higher than the average due to the normal temperature and radiation condition and sufficient soil moisture. All in all, the national summer crop growth is uneven and slightly lower than the average level.
