During the period from July 12th to 27th, 2021, the winter wheat has been harvested. Early-rice harvesting progress was near the end. The spring corn in Xinjiang, North China and Northeast China was in the spinning stage, and the summer corn in North China was in the jointing stage. Soybean in Northeast China was in the flowering and pod stage, while soybean in Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan and Hebei were in the three-leaf stage. In most areas of Southern and Central China, mid-rice was in the joining and booting stage.
According to the NDVI departure map, the crop conditions during the monitoring period were overall good. The crop condition in north of the Yangtze River was generally better than average, thanks to abundant precipitation (accumulated precipitation in the Northeast, most of Northwestern China and most parts of Central China was higher than the average level of the past 15YA), which will be helpful for the emergence of summer maize and the jointing of spring corn; Affected by continuous precipitation and flooding disasters in Middle and Lower Yangtze River and Henan, the crop condition was significantly below average in parts of northwestern Henan and along the Yangtze River, affecting the production of autumn crops such as corn. In addition, the growth of crops in other producing areas was close to or better than the 5YA. Generally speaking, China's autumn grain growth is normal.
