Recently, the world food crisis occurring in many countries over the world, revealed the vulnerability and fragility of global food system. The information on agricultural production is essential for most agricultural countries in making economic policies. The integration of remotely sensed data has been analysed continuously on world agricultural production especially in the major agricultural regions. This study aims to estimate the aboveground biomass and harvest index in rice growth by analysis of Satellite imagery data and field experiment performed in the Southern part of China. THAICHOTE and HJ-1B imageries data were classified to extract rice cultivation. The dependence parameters of rice yield such as plant height, leaf area index, water level, density, and dry weight acquired from 27 sampling sites have been observed and analysed. The leaf area index and biomass (of leaves, stems, panicles, and total aboveground biomass) were compared and measured by adjustment of correlation coefficient and normalized root mean square errors. Analysis of the total NDVI indicated its relationship to rice yield. The piecewise regression model could be used to describe the increasing of harvest index that correspond directly to time and seed growth. |
